Trees are true wonders of nature. They absorb CO2 from the air and use it as fuel for their growth, be it for wood, roots, leaves or needles. This means that a single tree can convert around 22 kg of CO2 into life-giving oxygen every year through photosynthesis.

In Germany, we generate around 9,600 kg of CO2 per year* through our consumption, diet, travel and energy use. If each of us planted enough trees to offset our own CO2 emissions over our lifetime, climate change caused by CO2 could be significantly reduced!

We give back what we take

The main raw material for our products is wood fiber from long-fibered conifers. For every tree felled to make our products, we commit to planting a new tree. This way we ensure that the resources we use are continuously renewed. Our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection is not only reflected in our products, but also in our responsibility towards nature. Through this practice, we not only give back what we take, but also actively invest in the future of our planet.

The idea is simple: for every backpack and shopper sold, we plant a tree.

At the end of each month, we donate $1 for every backpack or shopper sold to the non-profit organization onetreeplanted.org . This organization is involved in reforestation around the world. The trees are planted by volunteers in various locations around the world, often in places where they are urgently needed and have previously been destroyed by forest fires or human activities. In 2023, 51.9 million trees were planted**.

It is very likely that you will never see the tree you sponsored. That is why we will send you a personalized tree certificate with your order, made out in your name and intended to remind you of the tree you sponsored.

Where are the trees planted?

Our partner Onetreeplanted plants trees on five continents (North America, South America, Africa, Europe, Asia). The location is chosen based on where the trees are most needed.

Is a tree planted for each product?

A tree is planted for every backpack or shopper. This also applies to product bundles.

Can I visit the tree that I planted?

That will be difficult. The coordination of the projects and the selection of the location is the responsibility of our partner ontreeplanted. Where and when your tree will be planted cannot be predicted exactly and the exact location cannot be determined.

Can I decide where my tree is planted?

Our partner uses certain criteria to determine where in the world trees are most urgently needed and coordinates the respective tree planting projects. Unfortunately, a preferred location for your tree cannot be determined.
